You Can Support Veterans through Combat Paper and Warrior Writers

Posted on by Dodge Poetry Staff

In honor of Veteran’s Day, we’d like to highlight two organizations that are giving back to the veteran community. Our friends at Combat Paper NJ and Warrior Writers shared their work at the 2014 Dodge Poetry Festival, taking part in our Saturday evening event called “Another Kind of Courage.” These organizations promote a culture of healing in the veteran community through the arts. By fostering an environment where veterans can safely share their memories, stories, feelings and challenges through poetry and papermaking, Combat Paper and Warrior Writers do a great service to veterans of war. We encourage you to please consider a donation to these organizations in honor of Veteran’s Day.

We’d like to share some photos from “Another Kind of Courage,” and again, we encourage you to support veterans by making a donation to these groups, or by learning more about readings or shows that may be open to the public. Below are photos from “Another Kind of Courage.” All photography by T. Charles Erickson. Thanks to all who shared the powerful evening with us, on stage and in the audience.
