This October 23-26th, the Dodge Poetry Festival returns to Newark’s Downtown Arts District. Affectionately called “The Dodge,” it will feature dozens of readings, conversations and performances. It’s the largest festival of its kind in North America! With more than 50 acclaimed poets, from Poets Laureate and Pulitzer Prize winners to performance poets, slam poets and young up-and-coming artists, there’s something for everyone.
Imagine watching the poets you’ve discussed in class read their works live. Or posing for a photo with your favorite contemporary poet. Where else can you participate in discussions and impromptu conversations with such a diverse collection of today’s most talented and engaging poets?
And best of all…
High School, College and Graduate Students receive HALF OFF the ticket price!
NJPAC is easy to reach by car or public transportation. In fact, we’ve set up a deal with NJ TRANSIT so that you can ride round-trip to Newark for $10, from any NJ TRANSIT station or New York Penn! Parking is available on site, and bus and rail stops are just a few short blocks away. The Festival grounds are completely walkable, as are countless restaurants and hotels.
